As a User-Centered Designer, I am dedicated to crafting intuitive and visually engaging experiences that prioritize the needs and preferences of users. With a keen eye for design, layout, and accessible design principles, I strive to create solutions that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and inclusive.
My journey in design began with a solid foundation laid during my undergraduate studies, culminating in a Masters's degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012. My thesis, "An Exploration of Chronotype Variance in Narrative and Storytelling through Graphic Novel, Motion Media, and Film," delved into the intersection of design and narrative, reflecting my passion for storytelling and its visual representation.
Proficient in a range of design tools including Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma, and InVision, I leverage these technologies to bring concepts to life and iterate upon them collaboratively. Additionally, my familiarity with Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and Confluence ensures seamless integration within diverse project environments.
Beyond the realm of design, I find joy in exploring the outdoors through activities like kayaking and embarking on long walks, drawing inspiration from nature's inherent design. Road trips provide not only a means of adventure but also an opportunity to observe diverse landscapes and cultures, enriching my creative perspective.
In all facets of my life, whether it's refining a layout for optimal user experience or navigating winding river currents, I approach challenges with curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
